Sevis Systems Certifies 6000 Series Mobile Backhaul Solution
with
ST Electronics’ Satellite IP Broadband System
Companies Will Partner to Provide Best in Class Mobile Backhaul Solutions to Mobile Operators.
PLANO, TX – (March 26, 2009) – Sevis Systems, a global provider advanced mobile solutions, announced today that it has successfully certified its 6000 Series mobile backhaul products with IP broadband satellite platform designed and supplied by ST Electronics (Satcom & Sensor Systems) Pte Ltd (ST Electronics). As part of the certification, Sevis products were networked with ST Electronics' IP broadband satellite platform and tested against a GSM traffic generator to ensure that:
- All voice codecs, signaling, and data were supported.
- The appropriate Quality of Service was applied across the entire network topology for
each type
of traffic flow. - Bandwidth consumed by the Sevis 6104 during idle times was < 1Kbps
- Bandwidth consumed during times of active traffic was optimized at a rate of 50% or
better.
